As I am absolutely obsessed with anything smelly (smelling nice, not smelling bad) and this was really the biggest draw for me when I decided to try this product , Where do I begin. The first thing I did was open the tube, take a deep breath and immediately smell it. Nothing. I sniffed a few more times using it after the shower and then went to Revain to make sure I didn't order a product in the cake line that happens to be a short story 😉 it's not scent free so I went and squeezed out a big ball and sure enough I could smell it. Like, like, something like. So yes, it smells nice, but no, it's not even remotely overwhelming. As far as how well it works, I'm still glad I bought it. I love the fact that it can also be used on dry hair, eliminating the need to buy another touch up product or hair product the next day. I have attached several photos and they were all taken after my hair was in a bun. The first - a couple of hours after washing, and the other two - the next day. I've also shown the amount I use, which isn't much. It softens my curls and keeps them really long with very little frizz. The only thing I've noticed is that my hair seems to get a little greasy as the day progresses. I'm not sure if this material claims to make hair shiny because the greasiness is just up a notch. Either way, it's a decent product that works well right after you wash your hair, as well as for touch-ups or between washes.
