Review on Capezio 550 Junior Footlight: The Perfect Dance Shoe for Young Performers by Joseph Whiteman

Narrow front, perfect for dancing.

Need low heel shoes for stage dancing so I can twist and turn easily. These shoes are perfect for that. True to size but the toe box is very narrow. They are very slippery on the tiles in my house. When reading reviews, some say the size is right, others say they order 1/2 size up and others say a full size up. I first bought a size 7.5 which is my usual street shoe size. My toes were very uncomfortably compressed although the length is perfect. Then I ordered size 8M and 8W. In size 8 the heel area is a little loose, in size 8M (normal) the toe area is still a little soft. It might be ok if you take it apart, but I chose the 8W as I needed it for dancing the next day. I was surprised that these shoes were so comfortable that I didn't even notice they were on all night. They weren't slippery when walking on the street and I was able to make my turns on stage with no problems. While not the prettiest, they will now be my favorite dance shoes. Hope they last long. Tips: 1. Buy wide, 1/2 size larger. The same size can fit.2. Don't over tighten the straps if you want them to last a long time.
