The kit arrived quickly, all parts were neatly packed. The component connectors were pre-bent so inserting them into the holes was very convenient. After systematically confirming the values of all components, the assembly process went very smoothly. All large parts fit perfectly on the circuit board. After assembly everything worked great. However, the output power falls far short of the inflated claimed 1.8 watts. It is actually a 1/2W transceiver. The frequency is very close to the advertised one and seems to be quite stable. The CW tone is a little rough, but perfectly acceptable. I would give him (RS)T "8". There is quite a bit of background noise in the receiver, which is to be expected. All in all it was a pretty fun build and it works as expected. Claimed performance aside, this fun little kit does everything it's supposed to. It's neat, tiny, attractive and very comfortable to use.
