I really like these shorts, they are good enough to wear anytime. Very nice material with a belt that does not roll. I love the zippered side pockets but wish they had a deeper zippered or buttoned back pocket. The supplier suggested going up a size, I do not recommend this, I'm 5ft 8in, 155lbs, waist 32in. I ordered medium sized ones and they were baggy especially at the butt. I gave them to my son who liked them and then ordered them for myself. I ordered three small pairs and they fit my waist and buttocks perfectly and the length was just above the knee where they should be. I wash them with other clothes and they keep their size. If you have a stout or heavy build they may be a little tight for you and that is why they may recommend going up a size. This type of material is also stretchable. So depending on the fit you want, order your own size or one size smaller.
