Our new rescue cat needed antibiotics for a chronic sinus infection. Even with many years of experience treating cats with pills, I have not been able to treat them. My husband and I have tried everything including hiding whole or crushed tablets in their favorite foods and asking the pharmacist to make a fish flavored liquid antibiotic. He placed 1/4 of the antibiotic pill in the salmon-flavored pill pouch, then generously covered it with Inaba chicken and shrimp puree. The layered approach worked great, so our stubborn cat is now on the mend. She first licks off some of the puree and then swallows the pill pouch whole, unaware of the "terrible" pill inside.
