Bought to fix a cheap, easily broken battery connector on a cheap RC car we bought off Amazon for my boy. The wire gauge was on the low end of compatibility for these connectors and therefore the connection didn't work as intended as the cut edges didn't seem close enough to cut through the insulation and make a decent connection. The wires were threaded so I stripped a few millimeters of insulation and then folded the bare threaded wire back onto the insulated part and tucked in with the bare wire on the bottom so that the wire lays flat against the cut surfaces as well and makes a better connection. After that, the connections worked for my purposes. Unfortunately the RC car died shortly after due to other reasons so we bought a new one anyway so can't say how durable the connectors are for long term use.
