On a good day when the water isn't discolored, my tap water measures around 198ppm, but the chlorine taste is very common. I wanted a durable glass filter that I could get rid of all the odors and harmful crap. So I looked through many reviews and settled on this Zero Water Filter Jug. I chose this one for the durability of the filter and really needed the right filter as Brita was the only other option available locally (really sucks). And the price can sometimes be three times the actual cost. The PH Restore pitcher tastes as good as store bought bottled water and I love the fact that they haven't overdone the alkalinity level in their filters, the alkalinity when tested was just above neutral and even though my TDS meter read 255 PPM displayed, I know it's not necessarily a bad thing.
