Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Farpoint Travel Backpack: Essential Daypack for Casual Adventures by Ian Krump

Universal backpack in backpacks

I confess that I hesitated when buying a travel bag. I researched endlessly, went to stores to see them in person, and then researched some more. Well I made the right choice. I loved this bag. He was with me on a 3 week tour of Europe where I checked him out. I flew on a TAP Portugal flight that wouldn't let me take it. When full it was a bit big for her liking but the zipped daypack was key. I was able to unzip it and keep all my essentials with me for the duration of the flight while converting the main bag to luggage mode and sending it on my travels. The zipper on the belt was important to me because my luggage used to get tangled up during transport. Once it was a snowboard bag and almost the entire strap ripped off the bag. I felt comfortable with the Farpoint case because I knew I was safe. Once in Europe, it only took me a few seconds to reattach my daypack and set off. During my trip, the items I had accumulated filled this bag to the brim. On my last day I had to kneel to close it. I put a lot of wear and tear on the zippers but they are good quality. Pros: Access to the front panel. You don't realize how important it is until you miss it. My fellow travelers didn't have it, and watching them try to find something in their bag was a sight to behold. Osprey Packs Farpoint 55 Travel Backpack, Volcanic Grey, Medium/Large Side Carry Handle. It was nice when you wanted to rest your shoulders/hips or just didn't have the time or need to carry the bag all the way. Very convenient. The bag sat perfectly on my hips and I was able to walk long distances without discomfort. Zippers with lock. People have sticky fingers. Of course, they can always cut open the bag, but a large percentage of thieves are looking for a quick and discreet account. Being able to lock both pockets put my mind at ease. Warranty. Osprey calls it the Almighty Guarantee: Any cause, any product, any age. It's huge. I've kicked the hell out of my bag (not on purpose) and it's held up, but knowing that if it breaks or the zipper pops they'll replace it free of charge puts your mind at ease. It also shows the confidence they place in their product. Cons: color. Volcano Gray was my favorite of the colors available, but I didn't like it. There should have been more color options. I prefer true black. The size. It was hardly too big to be used as my luggage. It's always easier for me to sleep on a plane when all my stuff is with me. External mesh pockets. They were small. When my bag was filled to the brim, especially at the end of a trip, not much could fit in.
