This Sony player is a real upgrade from my recently deceased Samsung. This player is SILENT, unlike my Samsung which has been chirping, spinning and making intermittent tracking noises since day one. The remote control is small and easy to use. Setup was very easy, even for a tech junkie like me. PLEASE NOTE - The headphones in this set are NOT SONY. You suck. I've already thrown them away. The sound only came from one side unless I tugged on the input, in which case it was stereostatic. So if you really don't need an HDMI cable and cleaner, just buy the turntable without the kit for $30 less (see link below).
