Review on KAKA Wear Resistant Durable Backpack Duffle by Cody Hinckley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Traveled all over the world with me and it was great!

I waited a bit to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was correct! I've spent hours looking for a good new backpack to travel the world with. I travel a lot but most of all I needed a good, reliable and stylish backpack to survive a 4 week solo trip around Europe. I traveled back and forth between cities every few days, so I knew the backpack I was going to use had to be comfortable and endure a lot of wear and tear. In general, I really liked it! First of all, it's very cute. I get compliments everywhere. It looks really unique and I've never seen anything like it! I don't have to be a woman who generally has a very feminine style. I was concerned that the backpack would be too big or too manly as most of the reviews here were from men who bought the backpack. I really liked it and never felt like I was carrying a men's backpack. In addition, the colors are very accurate. Second, it really survived all my travels! I've stuffed this thing to the brim, stuffed it into countless trash cans, carried it through snow and rain, climbed mountains with it, and it barely wears out. The only scratch is visible on the leather front, which is slightly scratched. I was worried that it might scratch easily reading other reviews but it doesn't scratch easily or mine would have been incredibly marked due to the amount of times I've used it. All zips held up great, as did the mesh paneling and straps. Universal harnesses are really useful! I've never personally carried it as a duffel bag, but the side handles make it very handy for storing in flight luggage! Also, when sleeping on the plane, being able to cover the seat belts came in handy as I didn't have to rest my head on the seat belts! I've used it as a personal bag on American, United, Delta and Vueling flights and have never had a problem with it being too big. It also fits perfectly under airplane seats. Surprisingly, it can hold a lot! Traveling in Europe I packed it to the brim with a medium packing cube, 2 small packing cubes, a gallon bag full of toiletries, a book, a kindle, a magazine, my laptop and various chargers/converters. . It really helped keep my other carry-on luggage light since many budget airlines in Europe have carry-on weight requirements. My complaints: While this is a large backpack, it doesn't necessarily make good use of space. I really wanted lots of pockets/compartments to store different things but this backpack doesn't have that. It has only one small pocket on the front, one water bottle pocket on the side, one large backpack main pocket and one front. The front is actually very deep, but it's really just one big section with some fabric separating it in the middle. It's not two bags, which I think is disappointing. Another complaint I have is that the straps are made of the same material as the rest of the bag. It looks good and they are soft so as not to hurt your shoulders. But in my 25+ hours on the road, the fabric rubbed against my skin, which was painful over time. But also after wearing this bag over a sleeveless shirt for a very long time. 10/10 I would recommend to a friend!
