We bought a very large one for our 75 pound dog Maggie May and a small one for our 12 pound dog Pixie. Maggie's dress is pretty loose fitting considering her barrel shape. The pixie sits a little tight on her fluffy coat, but an average size would probably be too big. We bought them for the football season last year. Pixie's tank top is ok, but Maggie's tank top has a small tear at the neckline and some unraveling seams on the chest (see picture). However, Maggie definitely wore her tank top more than pixie. I think the tearing at the neckline is expected wear and tear, but the fraying at the seams seems more like quality related. If you have a large dog I wouldn't expect a t-shirt to last more than a season or two. We agree because Maggie loves her leotard! :)
