I really like this sewing machine, it's just perfect for beginners. Some reviews complain about this but I can absolutely say this is perfect for beginners and those who have sewn before. When you receive this man, make sure the tension is not too tight. I think this is where people run into problems and think it's broken. The tension on my machine was very tight which caused bird's nests when sewing. I almost disassembled the thing thinking there was a problem.
