I haven't tested this in the real world yet, but it looks like it'll do the job just fine. It was easy to set up the combo and attach the little bootie. It feels durable and doesn't look unsightly. The trunk has a rather low profile so my slim laptop still fits easily in the sleeve I have for it. As long as it doesn't fall and the combo keeps working, I believe it will perform its anti-theft function. I'm actually considering buying another one or two for some external drives.
