I needed something inexpensive to keep markers next to the dry erase board in the classroom and I was optimistic about this organizer. I wanted a small one and it's small so there are no surprises. I thought the quality would be a little better though. I wasn't expecting anything supernatural for the price, but for a little more you get something nicer and more durable. The wood is so thin that I had to cut out spots for the screws or they would push out the wood and split it. The problem is that the screws are now visible on flat surfaces and not in the wood. Also, I didn't notice it in the picture but they supplied silver pan head screws where I think smaller black flat head screws would have made it a bit classier. The silver screws stick out and are not flush with the wood. My kids had the best wooden sets at craft stores. I can live with the silver screws sticking out for what I need them for, and I sealed the holes with black tape that allowed the silver screws to be seen on flat surfaces. I used a black marker to touch up the seams as they were also very visible so they could be repaired as well. I think the first time a student pushes it off the table it will break. I would not buy this again and if I could do it again I would pay a little more for a metal or better quality and thicker wood shelf organizer. It's just not worth the price.
