I originally bought these molds because I saw they were advertised as ice cube trays and I wanted to get Valentine's Day hearts for my kids. They are too small for real ice and too fragile for water. (I have other silicone water cubes so I thought it would be similar, but it really isn't. Very thin, doesn't hold its own weight very well.) They can be used for almost anything. They can be made into chocolate, caramel, etc. Note, however, that they can be crafted on a tray or similar, as your creations will get messed up if you try to move. I used the hearts as mini ice cream for the kids. They loved it and called it "giving love". These are little things. Easy to vacuum when needed. I would still recommend them, just keep the tray tip in mind!
