My grandparents don't have cable TV or internet at home, just a standard TV antenna that gets two channels on a good day. But they have a Samsung Note 5 and are familiar with YouTube, Netflix, etc. This adapter works wonders for them. easy to set up and doesn't require a local Wi-Fi network like Chromecast or Firestick Revain. It was as simple as connecting to a TV and enabling screen mirroring on the Note 5. Now they can easily watch their videos and the like on the big screen. The best thing about this adapter is that it doesn't require a home Wi-Fi network - all other adapters I've bought have done so just to try and sell you paid content on their devices. This is the only reason a Wi-Fi network is required. These devices communicate wirelessly with the phone and the adapter, forming a kind of "bridge". Other devices just wanted to sell you movies and TV shows to rent so they could keep making money off you, which is ridiculous. I would highly recommend this simple adapter and I will be getting one myself to use with my Note 8.
