Review on πŸ”§ High-Performance DEA A2625 Transmission Mount: Unparalleled Stability and Durability by Garrett Flores

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Made in India Fast, sloppy

Jeep Cherokee six cylinder engines seem to eat through transmission mounts like other cars through air filters. Original Mopar brackets were usually sourced from Canada. It appears that Chrysler has lost interest in manufacturing or selling these parts to partners, so third-party suppliers may be the only choice left. The mount I received arrived in pretty purple DEA Products recycled corrugated packaging and the threaded studs were politely encased in plastic grommets to avoid damaging the packaging. I believe it will fit the car well, even if the production seems a bit sloppy: the bracket is a little shorter than the factory, saving the Indian manufacturer about half an ounce of recycled steel per unit. The top that holds the screws is tilted at about the right angle, but the assembly is slightly crooked so it's not parallel to the base. The rubber part has an unevenly hard feel and may not be fully coated to resist oils, greases and transmission fluids. But because of the low price, I am willing to test this product on my car. I think if it can fit despite the crappy quality control I might be able to get it at least 10,000 miles before it blows up! It's hard to find quality products these days.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
