Applied smoothly

This is the first time I have used this type of finish on my art and craft projects, so I cannot compare this product to others. What I can do is share my experience of using it. My first attempt at using this on paper didn't come out as smooth as I wanted. I ended up with a few wrinkles and blisters, but I don't blame the product, I blame my inexperience. I liked that the finish held up well on the foam brush, didn't drip, and evenly covered the paper project. leaves no brush strokes. A little has also come a long way. My second try went much better. I didn't put as much finish on it as I did the first time and also waited a bit for the finish to get a bit tacky before gluing the paper to the base (thanks You-Tube!). I used a briar to smooth out the paper once it was stuck to the base. I had very few wrinkles or blisters. It was very easy to clean. Foam brushes, my hands and the bryer wash off easily with water. I also love that his set comes in both matte and gloss finishes, as well as a foam brush 25. I can't imagine using them all unless I'm addicted to that kind of artisanal finish. So far I've only used a matte finish and I love it. The photos below were my first two attempts. I used canvas as the base for the project and colored cardstock paper for the design. I also printed the center design onto cardstock. I think it will be a different experience when using napkins or thinner paper for a project.
