Ignore the Price Ignore the preconception that more $$$ = better, this set is amazing for the price. This is a really good deal

Well first of all I'm not a professional carpenter, I just do this as a hobby. I will say these things are great and I have had no problems with them and to be honest with all the Yonico bits I have purchased through Precision Bits. So I used them on different types of wood, which is a bit unusual to be honest; but I'm working on a special project. Let me just say that I've used it on Blood-wood and Purple-heart, both very hard woods. So the Beats survived, yes they did. I had minimal burning on my first try with the Purple Heart (but note it's my fault, along with the Purple Heart it's pretty easy to burn). adjusted the feed and speed on the router, I had a bit of burn (tiny pause is my feed); but again my fault, I don't blame the beats. The fit and cuts were almost flawless (aside from my first try; what I said was my fault as I slowed down and paused for a few spots if I remember correctly, but I don't remember why I did it) I also have to say that the joints fit perfectly and there were no splinters. It still has burn marks; but note again that it was my fault, as you can see from the other side there is only one spot where I severely slowed the feed. (This was my first time using Purple Heart routing). (Yes it's also a rough cut and I need to cut some footage etc.). I've also used it on pine and red oak and the results have been great. So I can't confirm how long they will last, last and paint over, but I mean I've run them through the toughest woods and gotten great results (apart from the user error part). If they are similar to some of my other Yonico bits I trust them to last as long as I need them. Some of the Yonico bits I've used are as good as other big brands. I truly believe they will surpass the store's regular branded items. On the whole they are as good as Freud's fragments. I cannot fully answer this question as I only have a few fragments of Freud. I'll say that at least for the beats I have which are the same from Jonico and Freud. To be honest I don't see any difference in the cuts they make. I would highly recommend them to the home carpenter and at the same time I would even recommend them to professionals and I say that because of the price. As a professional you really have nothing to lose by trying them out to see how they go together and if you find that they smell nice you have found a bait/bait brand that is 1/4 the price. I'm a firm believer in precision bits and their quality and wouldn't avoid them just for the price. You do the work. Period. A final note: NO, I AM NOT EMPLOYED OR RECEIVED COMPENSATION OR ANY FROM PRECISION BITS. I just haven't had any issues with Yonicos (they are their bits) and have read on some woodworking sites that people who have never used them avoid them simply because of their price. That's bad advice if you ask me. Just because you've spent $200-$300 on a kit that does the same thing doesn't mean everyone else should be doing it. and if you've never used them, how can you say they're bad? Let's say you spent over $200 on yours and that's $50. BLUF they get the job done and that's what we're all looking for right?
