I've always bought Groves walnut sponges. But they were too keen on saturating their market with too many products, so I canceled my membership. About $5 for two from Grove. These are smaller sponges. They last just as long and are definitely just as durable to me. I had no odor and no problems with rot. At this price, a sponge per week (although they last longer than this one) would be fine. A very used sponge, pictured, was used daily (hand dishwashing) for 2 weeks. This was my first time using it and I wanted to see how long I could hold it down. Still slightly abrasive and absorbs just as much as when you first opened it. She just got ugly and I didn't want to see her on my counter like that all the time. I throw used sponges in the washing machine then leave them for cleaning, for garage/store use, veggies in the garden. Everyone. I will buy again.
