(There are no two sidebands in the picture, please do not use this picture as a reference) I'll take this as a life lesson, but those 2mm are either slightly thicker than 2mm or just don't compress like Gelid Extreme. I spent 12 hours fixing "GPU hotspot temps" that went up to 105C and it turned out to be due to them being used on the die side for VRAM. For the back, they seem to work well. For the GPU die-side, I recommend using Gelid 2mm Extreme or maybe Thermalright 1.5mm Extreme (I haven't tested it at this point). Now waiting for Gelid 2mm Extreme. I replaced a few pads with 1.5mm Gelid Extreme which got me functional again, slightly better than the OEM.
