Many reviews said this backpack is too small for a folder. Not true. I was very concerned about the purchase due to the mixed reviews, but decided because the additional chest strap function was a hit for me. I'm so glad I bought this for my 3 year old son for preschool! He loves his dinosaur backpack very much and it fits him perfectly. The other one I got for him hit the back of his knees and sits well on his back. The padded straps are great too! Judging by the material and workmanship, the quality is good. I tried zippers because that was another negative review. I was a little rough to see if they could withstand some violence and they did. I can outfit my sons with two binders, a three-ring notebook, his giant lunch box, and his pencil case that still has room for an extra change of clothes. A normal water bottle fits in the side pockets. My kids keep losing reusable ones, so I buy baby water bottles. The only thing I haven't been able to verify is the carry handle at the top of the backpack. I'll post another review if it doesn't hold up, but I'm happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to a preschooler or kindergarten student.
