This grip fits New 3DS, not New 3DS XL. In the US (at the time of writing this article) the standard size N3DS was only available in game bundles such as Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer (the first available is where I have mine) and I think bundled with a Pokemon game. The full size N3DS has interchangeable faceplates. This grip fits very well. In the beginning it is even too tight and very difficult to remove. You'll have to remove it to swap out the game cartridges, but with a little practice you can easily remove it if you get your nails under the "sweet spot" (the longer tab on the back - I've included the picture). It adds volume without adding too much weight, which is great for longer Monster Hunter sessions. I really don't leave it on when taking the N3DS somewhere in my bag as it takes up too much space. All in all a great product. One star deduction because it has to be removed to change cartridges. Also, after a while it can get a bit uncomfortable at times - the ends of the handles are a bit pointy and I have tiny hands. I've gotten used to it now and just think of it a little differently. But in the beginning the glasses stuck a bit in my hands.
