When I first received the box today the clear front was not properly in the box. It got stuck and I had to pull and push to adjust it to fit the slot. I didn't put many of my papers in the box. I was dying to test how well it held out water and it was a rainy day. I sealed the holes and slits in the top with tape to keep water out of the top. The lace wasn't a problem for me, at least not with the band. As the day progressed, the underside of my papers got wet. Since the front panel is detachable, water collects in the bottom slots and the paper absorbs water. I considered putting clear tape on the inside or hot glue on the outside, but in order to place and remove the box I have to remove the front panel as the top screw hole is on the inside. If it's not raining, the box is great! But who will be in a hurry to empty the box when it's raining?
