bought these for my new deck. Knowing i would install a dimmer. haven't done the dimmer yet. but these babies are bright. It's December in South Dakota so there is no hurry for the dimmer install, but i think i could land a small air craft in my yard with the light output. I have a 14 x 70 deck. and i evenly spaced out 12 lights. probably could have done 10. but i was concerned about dark spots, but at 8' ceiling, that wouldn't have been an issue anyway. I used the middle setting, cant remember the #, but these will be perfect, dimmed a bit. I think any recessed light on a deck would be dimmed for that is not the place to perform operations on your pet. just want to see a bit, but to be able to have them full blast is nice for certain situations.
