Okay, I received my chair today and put it together pretty easily. All parts were well packaged, even an Allen key was included. I assembled it alone in about an hour with short breaks. As soon as I unpacked it, I knew I had a good chair. I used to have a leather-tufted "Executive" office chair that I loved and found heavy. This chair died a slow death when the lifting mechanism first stopped working, then the skin began to wear out, and finally the wheels came loose. It was an old chair that I even slept in a couple of times so got my money's worth. The next chair was a cheap and uncomfortable regular computer chair that I left behind when I moved out of my apartment. But this chair is a real treat. It's wider than my favorite executive chair, the chrome base is reinforced and not hollow but much stronger, the wheels look stronger and it's HIGH STRENGTH. So far so good, I'm sitting in it as I write this review. It lost a star because I don't know what the heck that lever on the left does? There are only pictures in the instructions and this lever is not marked. If I find out, I'll revise the review. But it's a nice wide stable chair for us tall people. Edit: Okay, the left lever is a tilt lock, yes. And I love the chair and it deserves 5 stars although I don't like the tilt. My rating is 4.5 but I'll give it a perfect 5 for not being a maniac :-) Edit 2: I've seen a lot of reviews where the hydraulic lift broke after a while and to be honest caught on mine to fail too. I think maybe after a year I started to sink slowly when I sat down. I taped the cylinder around and kept using it, but the chair sank and I had trouble lifting it because of the tape. I struggled with the chair! In the end I just took the tape off and decided to live with it in the down position, but why is the chair working great again? I can raise and lower it as usual. Maybe I was lucky because I didn't plan to change that lifting mechanism by paying that much for a chair.
