Purchased, installed and found my mpg dropped 2-3 mpg. Of course, when the air is sucked into the air intake, I feel a little heavy and I don't hear that great sound, but for a while I was relieved and couldn't tell a difference. After doing some research, I found that a few people noticed this and attributed it to K&N's use of oil filters. Some of the oil in the filter may seem to get into the MAF during the first few hundred miles, which can cause the engine to use more fuel to compensate for the perceived reduction in airflow. I bought a MAF sensor cleaner, cleaned the MAF and within the next few miles found my MPG restored. For this reason it is not due to K&N, but to an oily filter. Please note that this can happen and I recommend that you clean it after driving the MAF for a period of time. I may even tidy it up again soon to make sure it's clean and everything is working properly. I also installed a reverse exhaust system shortly after and I really like how this pair makes noise. Definitely recommend.
