I now have just over 2TB of free hard drive space on my PC, which only increased after I bought a Sony camcorder with a hard drive and started editing and making movies . I bought this drive primarily as a backup for photos, music and raw video files that need storage space until I edit/delete them. Installation is very easy and can be completed in 5-10 minutes. This drive is very quiet, almost silent, even when running at full speed (recording a 40-60GB video file, etc.). I like to keep everything organized and this drive has really helped me with that as I can keep everything on it until I know what to do with it or take my time working with it. As I mentioned before, it is also convenient to automatically back up photos and music. I think everyone, from a day-long computer user to someone who just needs a place to store family photos, will appreciate the price, size, and noiselessness of this WD Caviar hard drive. .
