First you need to know what you're doing to make it work properly, it's not just something you can piece together. Other than that, it worked fine the first time, but out of the box, a screw was loose and rattling around. I had to completely disassemble it to get to the screw, which voids any warranty. Just running it the second time, it worked fine for about an hour. Then I heard a loud bang. I turned everything off and disassembled. Couldn't find the culprit, but now I have a low voltage error (not listed in the manual I think) even after a factory reset. In general, $140 is not worth for this POS. Don't make my mistake invest some more money and get better quality vfd. Edit: sent a replacement. I hope I get a good one as others have given good reviews. Edit2: The replacement was received quickly and works very well. If this was the first thing I got into I would give it 5 stars. Edit 3: A few months later that blew up too. In the middle of working on the knife there was a bang, it went out and started smoking. Using a surge protector and everything else on that line works, so it's pretty isolated from the problem with the VFD itself.
