not true to the original

I was so excited to see Pacquin back on the market. Unfortunately, that's still not entirely true. The biggest thing I liked about the original is that it just soaked into my skin. No greasy or filmy residue. Just soft hands. The new scent is very strong but I could handle it if the product worked the same as the original. But that's not the case. It sat on the surface and I continued to smooth it out with my hands. It really "rolled" on my skin. After the product had absorbed as much as needed, I was left with an oily film and hands that still felt dry underneath. If you think I just don't remember the original very well. Just last week I used the last cream in my last jar. I found it when I recently moved. So I have a very new experience of comparing products. I'll admit I've had the Pacquin Plus formula for dry skin in the can, but before that there wasn't much of a difference between the two products. I've used them interchangeably in the past. I really wanted it to be right. I've invested a lot of time and money looking for a replacement. The closest I've found is Merino Lanolin Cream. It's a thicker, heavier cream than Pacquin's original, but it sinks into my skin without feeling a "film" and my skin feels hydrated. I would still prefer Paquin if the formula is right.
