This is a fantastic ball for the money. They feel great with no riders and no irons, even with great backspin off the wedges. They're perfect for softer grass and I find them to be great balls for colder rounds when you're doing a lot of reps. I don't know how they hold the grass in the summer but I was able to get that ball back on the wedge. trouble-free throwing during the November round of PNW. They feel fantastic off the tea and also with irons. The wedges, serve, and chips are all superb, and this $1 ball is quite remarkable in that sense. It's a slightly softer ball than I'm used to (Z Star in the summer), but I can appreciate the extra distance in the colder months. I think it's a great all round ball for maybe 90% of amateur players. If you get more than 270 with the driver, it might be too soft a ball, but I still think it plays well. The only downside I found in my round today was the feel of the racquet. Definitely feels like a $1 ball and sounds cheap when putting. It's a small issue that's easy to accept because it makes everything else so good for a discount ball. If Wilson put a urethane coating on it that would be great, but then it would probably be a $2 ball. Would still be a great value imo.
