Golf balls are expensive until I found these. I wouldn't pay a few bucks for a ball other than losing at least one a round playing my local field (water hazards). I've tried using very cheap golf balls, but they're cheap for a reason. Cheap, hard plastic covers with no control. Losing one of these in the water won't offend you, but the rest of your round is trash playing with awful golf balls. It's awesome. This is a fantastic ball for the money. They feel great with no riders and no irons, even with great backspin off the wedges. They're perfect for softer grass and I find them to be great balls for colder rounds when you're doing a lot of reps. I don't know how they hold the grass in the summer but I was able to get that ball back on the wedge. trouble-free throwing during the November round of PNW. I did a 3 point comparison today. Everything new. Wilson Zip, Wilson Smartcore and Srixon Z-Star. I am by no means a superhero, I have a handicap of 13. To my surprise, smartcore won. Each movement off the tee was within about 5 yards of each other. But smartcore was always the most direct. At 100 yards, the smart core stopped on contact. The zipper rolls out about 5 or 6 feet and the Z star extends 2-3 feet, 50 yards. The smart core rolls out about 10-15 feet, the same goes for the zipper…

I recently bought a Skytrak launch monitor and used these balls on it. I'm happy to report that I'm getting really good distance results, especially with my wedges up to 7i. Everything after that is hit or miss, but that's because I'm not very good at golf, not with this ball.
