ROKR's wooden steam engine model is called "3D Puzzle Set". I completed it in two days without much difficulty. The model is made from laser cut pieces of wood that need to be punched (carefully) from eight large flat sheets of wood. Individual parts are marked with a table and number. There is no glue, all parts are (again carefully) pressed against each other. The model is quite large: 14 inches long, 9 1/2 inches high and 2 inches wide. He weighs almost 3 pounds. The instructions are detailed and mostly easy to understand. Unclear questions can be solved with the help of several online videos that show the construction of the model in detail. Since it is not glued, the model holds up very well and is easy to move from place to place. . It has a spring driven motor but I locked the wheels as I was building it as a display piece and I really don't want it to move. The spring motor was installed inside in case I ever change my mind. The assembly seemed interesting and exciting to me (although it's a bit difficult for my fingers to squeeze all those details). The model is designed for older teenagers. and adults. I wouldn't expect a small child to build it without adult supervision.
