I like that this device is compact. The stand is small enough with a telescoping handle to store in my laundry room which is a HUGE asset to me. It holds quite a bit of water - I was able to steam the curtains and my sofa and it still had water in it. Tank. It also heats up fairly quickly -- much faster than the portable I've used, or haven't used, simply because it's not as efficient. It's ready to go in less than a minute and the vapor comes out great - large volumes and an even and stable stream. I recently used it to steam a new tablecloth after a small renovation and it worked great. I am very glad to have this installed in my laundry as let's just say some delicate fabrics have met their demise at the hands of our iron in distress and in a hurry. The ONLY complaint I have is that I really wish it was longer so I could reach the top of the curtains without removing them, but that's more of a personal issue than a problem with the device itself.
