The design of this carrier is really good - it is not heavy and has enough space for medium sized cats to sit, stand and lie down. The removable fleece cushion is great for both light cleaning and as an extra cat bed around the house (and then cats get used to sitting on cushions and I think they'll be more comfortable in a carrier if they have something familiar). The pockets are good and I like that I can strap backpacks in the back seats. However, the second time I used this backpack, part of the mesh detached from the side seam. My cat didn't attack the carrier or anything like that; He just leaned that way and the stitching came undone as you can see in the attached photo. I only transfer my cats a few times a year so the return time has expired and the seller does not have good contact information. So basically I used it once and now it's broken. I can glue or pin the seam, but I will always worry that the same problem will happen somewhere else and I will end up in a bad situation. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.
