Review on Kaytee Clear 🐾 Water Bottle for Pets by Drew Cage

I ordered this for my ferret as it seemed like a good deal. The disclaimer says there will be "a few initial drops". That is clear. Past experiences with others have shown this to stop. Well, firstly, "a few drops" - that's putting it mildly. Basically, it's a stream that you have no choice but to delete. Second, the flow eventually turns into a permanent drip that never slows down or stops. I left and came back after a while only to find that I had to dry the entire bottom of his cage. It leaked so much it reached the bedding on the other side and soaked it. Luckily I found some old puppy pads from a few years ago. I cut them in half, then folded them and put them under the nozzle. I have to change it once a day so these pads don't last long but they definitely help. It's also difficult to get the bottle through the spring mount after refilling. You can unhook the holder or put the bottle through. Anyway, it's a pain. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is that it barely does the job it should. I suggest spending more money on a water bottle that's really drip resistant, or one that doesn't drip as badly as this one.
