I've used both saline and essential oil mouthwashes in the past, so I thought I knew what to expect. It's a bit off-putting at first. When it arrived all the additives settled to the bottom so when I shook it it looked a bit like pond water. Wave it around for 30 seconds, then spit it out. There is a strong salty taste followed by a sweet cinnamon taste. I had enough time to wonder what was so cute in there when the burning started. I'm allergic to garlic and the feeling was very similar, but garlic/onions aren't on the ingredients list so I'm assuming it's a cinnamon reaction. salty taste. I made my daughter who suffers from celiac disease and mouth ulcers taste it when she gets "gluten" and it was strong enough to burn her mouth ulcers. We cut it in half and it helped and the wounds seemed to heal faster.
