When I bought it I didn't realize that this is some kind of specialty shoe - the arch support goes almost to the end of the heel. This tilts the inside edge of the heel up, forcing your foot to flex and bear the weight on the angled outside edge of the heel. I don't know what to call this foot condition as I don't have one, but after a few minutes of wearing them around the house, the outer edge of the heels really bothered me. And it cannot be fixed by removing the insole, the very base of the shoe is formed this way and cannot be fixed with a replacement insole. in the usual size. I usually wear 8.5" sneakers and all other shoes are a size 8 and they fit me perfectly at a size 8.5. I liked everything else about these shoes: the grip is fantastic, the entire upper of the shoe is soft and has no hotspots, not too stiff, enough room in the toe box. If they made them a more versatile flat heel base and people could just add/tilt the insoles to their liking, it would be much more versatile and I would LOVE them. I like the heel pad , but not the sloping heel pad! Unfortunately I had to send them back. Hope that helps.
