Review on Sylvania SDVD1046 Compact DVD Player with Progressive Scan and Auto Load Feature by Delbert Potter

Very poor quality! Terrible, just terrible! After 3 months of more or less adequate work, the picture starts to flicker and blink all the time, no matter if you use a brand new or an old plate. Running a cleaning disk doesn't help either. I use a DVD player to play cartoons for my child, so not only does it not work well, this blinking is dangerous for my child's eyes! I tried contacting the SYLVANIA website - gosh it takes forever to even find out where their DVD players are, this company mainly makes lamps and lightbulbs! Not to mention trying to get a replacement or at least some advice, forget it! And the funny thing is that after the 90 day warranty expires, this DVD will last exactly a day or two, so you can't return it. I know it's a cheap DVD but only for 3 months?! DO YOU MEAN THAT SERIOUSLY?! I know you need profit, but don't you have any dignity and shame at all?! Just put the label "FREE AFTER 90 DAYS, NO REFUND", it will be honest at least. Very disappointed. Not only will I never buy this item again, but I will make sure I never buy anything from this brand again and warn everyone I know to stay away from SYLVANIA.
