I rarely deal with wines and mainly use them for cooking. This set outperforms my server corkscrew that I have used and the new corkscrew operates with much less effort with no broken corks or cork particles getting stuck. I used a vacuum bottle of room temperature Cabernet for over three weeks and the taste was the same as the day I opened the bottle. I don't use the items in the set often enough to judge their durability. My server corkscrew has lasted over 20 years. But I suspect the frequent wine lover will find this set to wear out within a year or so, but I suspect.
