I have ordered several pairs of these. My favorite is the brown striped version. Although some of the magnification is applied to a clear lens, it is not a "sticker" as some say. This is the correct acrylic lens. This is typical of standard bifocals that are not lineless. The "ruler" takes some getting used to, but once you've mastered it, it's no longer a problem. I take a lot of measurements for work and over the years it has become increasingly difficult to read a tape measure. Standard readers work when I'm standing still, but when I'm moving to measure large areas I need bifocals so I don't have to pick up my glasses or look over them while walking. The brown stripe and blacks appear a bit thicker. Frames and slightly larger loupes than the tortoise and yellow tortoise I ordered. YMMV
