Very good design and functionality. What will impress you the most are the extra features that come with the package. At this price you should only expect 2 sides of a large stone. Instead, you get a wooden holder with a rubber pad that prevents dangerous or annoying wobbling during use. You will also receive instructions, a leather sling (fur), a knife guide and a leveling stone. Soon you'll want to upgrade to a better slingshot and bigger leveling stone, but if this is your first stone you won't get any better at this price point. .I have embarrassing kitchen knives that look like I'm going to use them to pick nails out of boards. Despite all the nicks and chips on the blade, my chef's knife will be slicing onions like butter on the rocks in just 10 minutes. I'm not even as good as a sharpener and the results have been very good. No mistakes. I look forward to testing other products from this manufacturer in the future. My chisels love me again too.
