Line voltage thermostats were installed throughout my house which simplified wiring. Cables for 240 volts therefore have a larger cross-section. It took quite a bit of torque to attach them properly, but it's much safer, easier, and more secure than the twist and tape alternative. They are very durable and well designed for their purpose.
