I get the stand because my husband already took it out of the box and assembled it at my request, but it doesn't hold records on the bottom - the whole stand isn't wide enough. I was also blown away by the dimensions as it should be around 26.5 inches long but this measurement is not the shelf length but includes protruding knobs so my small speakers will not fit my turntable as they would measure the length of the shelf . If I had known all this before assembling it I wouldn't have kept it. I get it to work by putting my speakers on the bottom shelf, which is otherwise useless.
