I wasn't expecting that. I bought two of these in the hope that I could use them for opening condensed milk or sweetened condensed milk and other preserves where you might want to punch a hole in the jar to pour out the contents. Unfortunately, that's exactly what this article doesn't do at all. Leveling the part of the opener that grips the rim of the can to punch a hole isn't deep enough to make a dent in the lid, but it's practically pointless and won't pierce the can. However, it is suitable for opening bottle caps as long as it does not unscrew. Also, sandpaper or a good oil can be used for the pen as it's rough on my hands (although maybe that's just me).
