It turns on or off about 20% of the time you try to use it. It lights up randomly whenever there's warm water in the pipes - when I start the dishwasher, heater, or washing machine (not even near the tap, but affects it anyway). It's best to leave streaming enabled for about 1/3 or 1/2 of the pass. Better yet, buy a Delta.
