Great tracker for a free range puppy!

First of all I want to clarify that you need to pay a subscription fee to use this device. I think it's around $5 a month and goes down as you pay more months up front. Is this device ideal? no When you need to know the exact location of your pet to the nearest inch every second of the day, this is not the case. When my dog is indoors or hasn't moved for a long time, he sometimes has trouble finding his location. We live out of town so I let her go for walks in the mornings and started to worry that she was approaching roads or places where I know people hunt deer. At first I wanted something that would just tell me where she was. But it's very nice when I get real-time updates when she's out. I've had it for two weeks and had no problem tracking her live location on the app every morning if I let her run. Also, you can set a "zone" and when your pet leaves this zone, you will receive a notification on your phone. I skipped it once or twice because it doesn't make any noise, just a banner warning. The most valuable thing about this tracker for me is the voice/alarm recording feature. I have already taught my dog to come to me with a sonic collar (it was a stun collar but I have never had to use a stun collar). So if I feel like it's too far or too close to the road, I can turn on my voice and watch on the app as it turns right home! It's pretty neat to be honest. I only had to use the alarm once (continuous beeping) when I called her at home and she seemed constantly distracted. That alone is definitely worth the price! • I need to charge the battery about every two days. • I haven't seen her lose or hit her tracker yet. I thought it would be a big problem, but I'm glad it isn't. Especially for a puppy who runs through the woods and bushes and plays with other dogs. I guess if it comes off I might just track it down and find it (hopefully). See or at my neighbor's when she sleeps in my bed. This is usually because she's indoors or hasn't moved in a while. I suspect that cell phone coverage in your area might have something to do with how well GPS can track your pet's location. • This was the cheapest type of pet tracker I could find here and I'm very glad I didn't go for the more expensive option as it has all the features I need and more. Very happy with it!

Pros
  • Convenient app
Cons
  • Long delivery time
