Appearances are deceptive!

Yes, looks very nice and a bit compact. It was a big mistake buying this product which I ended up returning because my system couldn't recognize the drive. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling all programs. It still didn't work. I continued to purchase the HP equivalent of this product. It comes with a separate device driver disk which the Predator does not have. I then have the option of installing the burning software that came with the drive, or you can install your own. The Predator software is bundled into one installation which may cause a crash. The main thing I noticed is that when the system first sees a new USB device and looks for drivers and you point it to a CD, it doesn't see any drivers on that CD. Only after you have installed the entire software package will you see the drive letter assigned to your drive. But that's what I got. I then restarted my computer and the drive never came back. As if the device was not connected to my computer. This might work for you, but it didn't work for me on a freshly installed OS (Windows 98 SE). I use internal or external HP CD-RW drives, which are much better than the others. I love Zip drives but Predator doesn't fit.
