Bought two of these, one for a Dakota 01 5.9 4x4 and one for a Dakota 00 5.9 R/T and they work great, strong welds and good construction. It has a lot of liquid in it if that was the problem, if your car is using a lot of coolant then something else is wrong.
- The coolant overflow tank is basically a remote reservoir for the radiator. When the coolant pressure in the radiator exceeds the cap's set pressure, the coolant is sealed by the sealed cap and flows through the overflow pipe to the radiator's coolant surge tank.
