This is an amazing lens. Tamron celebrates 40 years of its SP lenses. It's said to be the best lens they've ever made. Well I think they have achieved their goal. Tamron made great strides in the development of this lens, developing a new lens coating that reduces flare and an additional motor that enables very fast autofocus. This lens has no vibration control, so be careful when shooting at slower shutter speeds. I have used this lens with my Nikon D850 and the results are amazing. Everything comes out sharp. Colors are superb, there is no edge-to-edge distortion. This lens is almost half the price of the Nikon 35mm f/1.4, so if you're on a tight budget you can't go wrong with this lens over the Nikkor. The lens is well built, a bit heavy but well balanced. I have several other Tamron lenses and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this Tamron 35mm f/1.4 lens. Like I said, he's amazing.
